Demonstrating characteristic Soviet determination, scientists and engineers of Science City 4 succeeded in reverse-engineering much of the technology. This, along with plans for bipedal walkers stolen by SMERSH agents from the United States, enabled the Soviet Union to swiftly develop the Kazak walker as the first operational example. This fast and agile reconnaissance vehicle proved to be highly effective and has set the standard for subsequent Soviet walkers.
